Generative Pretrained Transformers (GPT) like the usual chatbots like ChatGPT or Claude are fed by Large Language Models (LLM) which are advanced guessing of the next word according your inputs. It’s more or less advanced autocomplete on steroids. But the models used do not know what they are talking about, because they just see patterns and mimic textual content based on trained text from the internet. This means it’s not actual Knowledge based on reasoning but just rephrasing existing content to your need.
Our cognitive Models instead create formal logic. This means we do not mimic or guessing but we formulate the content baed on given terms and their formal relation to other terms. Thus we strap the actual logic to the given context of the problem. Our solution approaches the problem iteratively not by hallucination. So if the topic is unclear or not specified clearly, our solution goes into a dialog until the problem is clarified.

We use formal models to create explicit reasoning for the solutions and not hallucinated generations where the results are rather a quick shot than rationally articulated
Well there are a lot of software modeling tools out there. Most prominently named: Dassault MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, PTC Modeler, Obeo Capella and more…
Most of these modelers come with a massive tool set. They are indeed rich in capabilities but lack on a clear concept. They allow literally everything but having many different possibilities doesn’t automatically mean that it empowers you to create good models.
XIXUM Modeler goes a different way. Based on the experience of many Modeling projects we have seen what chaos can emerge if there is no clear modeling guidance, no type system and no validation. Many clients had to extend, patch or flange on additional extensions who clean up the modeling environment or to control. Thus XIXUM Modeler provides an interactive validation as well as a strict type system like in Java. Because only if you have a type system a validator can understand what it is dealing it and guards the modeling consistence for you, so no more dry methodology handbooks and methodology stake holders or responsibles. Everything is automated and kept tidy by the Software itself.
The Price is not yet sure exactly. We will design paid plans when the dissemination phase is over and the product is known well enough so people are willing to pay to take benefit of our pro feature.
Irrespective from that we will always be open to create independent service and consulting contracts with clients who require some individual maintenance and support.
Yes it’s free and open source. The basic modeler is free and until it’s under development for the first release version all the features are free. As we want to earn money one day, we soon or later will have to charge money for the Extra Features. But the basic Features of the Modeler will remain free, so users have the chance to explore the capabilities without being urged to pay. We will later restrict certain features or additional services for paid plans where certain functions like
- Simulation or
- Code Generation
Will be a matter of a paid plan.
Yes we do also project works for other clients. This can include our product where we can implement in the clients production pipeline and tailor customized solutions on top, or simply do project work for clients. But as our focus is, to bring the product forward we may not be available 100%. Only short term but not long Term.
